2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 35000 miles

This is mine today, anyone know the issue?

Hey mate, what did you find the problem was, mine has just started doing the same thing.

@Karl1975Did you find what it was I now have one doing the same thing

Karl1975

@LukeHey mate it was a loose wire on the battery terminal, not the terminal itself but one of the wires that bolts to the terminal.

Yes. My 2002 Ford ranger xlt v6 3.0l truck wouldn't start. Installed new battery, even though battery, voltage regulator, alternator, starter all checked out good. I put a new Ford ignition starter coil pack module that goes where a distributor cap used to in older cars and it fixed problem so far. It was part of control computer chip.

Has anyone else experienced manual transmission problems. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger xlt v6 3.0l and have had the clutch and manual transmission fixed in October of 2020. $1600 at automotive shop which counted tge Emergency brake cable broke and rear disc drums replaced. Now, a year and a half later gears are sticking and doesn't want to go into gear.

sounds like it could be the clutch hydraulics bleeding off pressure or the pilot bearing in the clutch binding up. if you can shift gears with the engine off but not when it is running its likely one of those two things. otherwise maybe internal transmission issue but sounds more like clutch isnt disengaging to me

The roll over switch Up under the passage side below the glove box

Scan and clear all fault codes , should fix it.

Maybe need to reset the battery monitor sensor. In the new models there's a 'turn ignition/ press brake' - sequence... but I'm not sure how or if you can do it yourself in older models. Need a mechanic with a computer to hook up to it and reset the battery monitor sensor. Takes all of 10 seconds to do. Ask them how much for a call out to do it and haggle them with the leverage that it will only take them 10 seconds of they try charging anything too ridiculous.
